
You are invited to participate in the “People’s Choice Award”. As the general public samples the many flavors they will naturally select their favorites. They may even spread the word to a complete stranger or someone passing by may overhear the conversation about a certain contestant. In any case, somehow, someone becomes recognized as having the best tasting BBQ. If that someone is you, we will recognize this achievement by presenting you with a “People’s Choice Award”.
Contest Rules:
· Check-In time: Friday evening or no later than 6:00 am Saturday morning, July 12th.
· All meats must be cooked on-site without pre-cooking or marinating. Please prepare enough meat for 200 plus samples. The promoters will advise contestants of Official Start Times. Meat is subject to inspection upon arrival. No meat may be removed from cook-off site after check-in.
· 5 wristbands per team including head cook. Additional wristbands can be purchased in advance.
· Pit Requirements: All pits accepted.
· The following meat categories will be included: Beef Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs, Chicken. Side dishes allowed. Voting and Tasting will be from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
